2024 will see Rally for a Cause and the Dunga Derby (Fraser Coast) celebrate its 10th Year!
Each year, since starting on the Fraser Coast in 2015, our Dunga Derby teams have gone above and beyond and continued to make a positive impact on our community - 300 plus families and counting!
With fun and friendship, the 2024 Rally for a Cause Dunga Derby will be a celebration of all that our recipients, participants, sponsors and many volunteers have achieved in just 10 years.
The Sunshine Coast DUNGA DERBY, in it's 3rd year, is a 4 day car rally that will take 45 team vehicles and over 200 people from the Coast to the Country while raising funds for Rally for a Cause to support the Sunshine Coast local community.
In the lead up to the derby, the teams will fundraise, with loads of events throughout that time - everything from raffles, gala dinners, sportsman lunches, barefoot bowls to BBQ’s! The Sunshine Coast will be buzzing with activity and the business community are encouraged to get behind us, sponsoring teams and their vehicles (the Dunga's!)
Funds raised by the Dunga Derby go to the Rally for a Cause Charity that supports families and individuals affected by life-limiting medical conditions or have had their lives disrupted by circumstances beyond their control.
Rally for a Cause was started on the Fraser Coast in 2015 and since then the Dunga Derby event has raised over $3 million which has gone back into the local community to provide support to over 300 families.
Funds raised by the Sunshine Coast Dunga Derby will go back to support local Sunshine Coast families who are nominated and approved for support under the charity guidelines and eligibility criteria.
