Donations and Donation Refund Policy

DONATIONS

Donations made to Dunga Derby Fraser Coast Inc. or made directly to Rally for a Cause Ltd go towards the Rally for a Cause charity’s efforts to support local Fraser Coast & Sunshine Coast families and individuals affected by life-limiting medical conditions and/or whose lives have been disrupted by detrimental circumstances beyond their control.

Dunga Derby Fraser Coast Inc. (ABN 77 464 367 765) and Rally for a Cause Ltd. (ABN 33 362 815 233) are both registered charities with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and are endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR). 

Donations from an individual or organisation over $2.00 are tax deductible and donors will be issued with a tax- deductible receipt.

DONATION REFUNDS

Dunga Derby Fraser Coast Inc. and Rally for a Cause Ltd. are under no obligation to give refunds on donations; however the organisation may consider a request for a refund where genuine errors may have occurred.  The decision on refunds will be at Committee’s discretion.

Donations made to Dunga Derby Fraser Coast Inc. via the Dunga Derby fundraising event are non-refundable in circumstances including, but not limited to:

    i) The withdrawal of a registered Dunga Derby team or team member
   ii) If after the commencement of the Dunga Derby a team or team member is unable to complete the event
   iii) If a Dunga Derby team or team member is removed from participation in the event
   iv) The Dunga Derby event is postponed, cancelled or unable to proceed in circumstances outside of the organisers control

Requests for a refund will require the donor to provide details of how the donation was made, the amount, the date and the circumstances justifying the refund request and emailed to admin@rallyforacause.org.au within 14 days of the donation transaction.

If a donation is refunded, the associated tax receipt is no longer valid and should be securely destroyed. Please note it is your responsibility to submit correct receipts to the ATO (Australia Taxation Office).
